Value Drawings on iPad
In class we drew value shapes using oil pastels and later on we used iPads to draw the same thing. I drew the three shapes; square, cone and sphere with different color and also drew the shadows. The similarities of the class drawings and the iPad drawings were that it was the same concept, drawing, and shapes. The differences were that we weren't allowed to smudge in class but the iPad had a special effect that was a smudge tool. I also had a harder time with the iPad becausethe circle is so far in the corner and I couldn't tell it was there until I finished drawing. When you're coloring in class you can see the paper and where to put everything. On the iPad I zoomed it to paint it but I couldn't tell where I was. I think my best accomplishment in the iPad drawings was the gradual color changes from dark to light. I also learned from this experience that I need to soften the colors more together and look blended. Technology is useful and important in art class because it gives more variety to art and you can practice more techniques.
